1.1 Tax-Exempt Status The Rouben Malian Memorial Foundation Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law in the United States.

2. Donation Policies
2.1 Variance Power While the Foundation strives to honor the specific intent of donors who designate their funds for specific programs (e.g., The Armenian Community Initiative or Educational Advocacy), the Foundation maintains "variance power" over all donations. This ensures that the Foundation’s Board of Directors retains the ultimate discretion and control over the use of all donated funds to ensure they are utilized effectively to further the Foundation’s exempt purposes, particularly in the event that a specific program becomes obsolete, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the Foundation’s mission.

2.2 Refund Policy As a general rule, donations to the Rouben Malian Memorial Foundation are non-refundable. This policy is in place because donated funds are often deployed immediately to procure essential supplies, support educational programs, or cover operational costs.
Administrative Errors: In the event of a proven administrative error (e.g., a duplicate transaction or incorrect amount entry), the Foundation may, at its sole discretion, consider a refund request if made within thirty (30) days of the donation. All refund requests must be submitted in writing. The decision to issue a refund rests exclusively with the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

2.3 Currency All donations processed through this Site are conducted in United States Dollars (USD), unless otherwise explicitly stated by the payment processor.
